What is the service fee?
The service fee (also called office or outpatient fee) is a private clinic's per-visit fee added to the appointment price. The providers say it covers booking, registration, customer service, IT systems and premises.
Kela does not reimburse office or outpatient fees. The fee is usually not charged for lab-only visits, and it is often smaller for therapy and nurse visits. Some providers add the fee to their list prices, others list prices with the fee included, so compare prices including fees.
