What does a orthopaedist do?
An orthopaedist examines for example knee, shoulder, hip and back problems and assesses whether imaging, rehabilitation or surgery is needed. At the appointment they can order an X-ray or MRI and give a cortisone injection.
Many orthopaedic patients are treated without surgery, for example with physiotherapy.
