When to go to physiotherapy?

A physiotherapist assesses movement and functional ability and guides you through exercises that treat and prevent pain and problems. Common reasons are back and neck pain, sports injuries and rehabilitation after surgery.

You can see a physiotherapist without a doctor's referral. Kela reimburses individual appointments with a licensed physiotherapist; without a doctor's prescription it covers at most four visits per calendar year.
