When to go to psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is planned, regular talking therapy. Only a registered psychotherapist may provide psychotherapy; "therapist" alone is not a protected title. An individual session usually lasts 45–60 minutes, once or twice a week.

Kela can support rehabilitative psychotherapy for people aged 16–67, at most 80 sessions a year and 200 in total. Kela's share is often less than the session price, so it is worth calculating your own share in advance.
